TaraSolarTayo is a free, community-driven tool built for Filipino DIY solar enthusiasts. We help you figure out how much solar power you need and what components to look for — without trying to sell you anything.

What We Do

We provide two free tools:

• Power Consumption Calculator — Select your appliances and hours of use. We calculate your daily energy needs so you know what size solar system to look for.
• DIY Solar Builder — Browse solar panels, batteries, inverters, charge controllers, and wires. See estimated prices, check component compatibility, and plan your build with a running cost total.

What We Are NOT

We are not a store. We do not sell solar products, process payments, or fulfill orders. We do not earn commissions from any product listed on this site. The product data shown (names, prices, images) is sourced from publicly available e-commerce listings for reference purposes only.

Why We Built This

Solar power is growing fast in the Philippines, but there is no free tool that helps DIY enthusiasts plan a complete off-grid system — from calculating power needs to picking compatible components. Existing calculators stop at "you need X kilowatts" without helping you figure out what to actually buy or how to wire it together.

We built TaraSolarTayo to fill that gap. The name means "Let's go solar, together" — because solar should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford professional installers.

Accuracy & Limitations

The calculations on this site are estimates based on standard solar engineering formulas and Philippine average sun hours (4.5 peak hours/day). Product prices are sourced from e-commerce platforms and may not reflect current prices. Always verify prices and component specifications with the actual seller before purchasing.

We recommend consulting a licensed electrician for installation, especially for systems above 1kW.
